Agama Technologies, which specialises in optimising operators’ video service quality and customer experience, is to demonstrate the latest version of its video assurance solution at IBC. This aims to help video service-providers leverage data to ensure optimal service quality, improve operational efficiency and increase customer understanding.
Version 5.1 of the Agama solution will feature enhanced incident and problem management for cable networks; enhanced fault detection, with visualisation tools which pinpoint where problems have occurred in the RF-access network and what the customer impact is; support for UHD/4K service monitoring, with full analysis of HEVC-encoded content; and an extended solution for OTT service assurance, comprising the Agama Analyzer and Analyzer OTT.
These elements enable pro-active monitoring of all stages of OTT playout and delivery, says Agama – from ingest to edge-cache and from manifest to video content – with support for HLS, MPEG-DASH, Smooth Streaming and now HDS video streaming.
The company says that in combination with its monitoring technology, which tracks how subscriber devices, such as tablets and smart TVs, are performing, the new OTT solution offers “deep insight” into every video stream and every customer’s QoE.
Johan Görsjö, Director of Product Management at Agama Technologies, said Agama was “committed to supporting video operators in achieving high end-user satisfaction and operational efficiency.” Version 5.1 of its video support solution was a testament to this, he said.
