Seferidis leaves Samsung after five years

Vassilis Seferidis, Director, European Business Development of Samsung Europe is leaving Samsung after five years with the company. He led Samsung’s European Connected TV business from 2009 and is viewed as an instrumental figure in establishing Samsung’s Smart TVs as a viable platform for Pay TV operators and other service providers. He spearheaded the Direct-to-TV (set-top box-less) IPTV solution, as deployed at Elion, the TeliaSonera subsidiary in Estonia, and the introduction of Remote User Interface (RUI) technology in Europe.
