Keepixo unveils UHD live encoder with optional support for HDR, targeting IPTV or OTT applications

Keepixo unveiled the AL2000-UHD generation of live encoding platforms at NAB, providing HEVC compression for resolutions up to 4Kp60 (3840×2160 @ 60fps, 10-bit). The AL2000-UHD platform comes in a 1U form factor and leverages the latest Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 processor. It encodes content into HEVC Main 10 profile with optional support for HDR. Output is available in either IPTV or OTT formats. When used in OTT applications the AL2000-UHD also features a built-in packager that generates an output stream compliant with popular streaming protocols such as Apple HLS and MPEG-DASH.
