During ANGA COM, NAGRA is focused on helping service providers to make the transition from traditional to hybrid Pay TV and therefore allowing them to deliver rich and innovative viewing experiences. “New growth opportunities lie ahead for Pay TV operators in Europe, who are uniquely positioned to provide consumers with the services they want, anytime and on any screen,” declares Ivan Verbesselt, SVP Group Marketing for NAGRA.

Visitors to the NAGRA booth will learn how easy it is to expand their existing offer with SVOD services using NAGRA’s set-top box reference solution for Netflix, which was recently deployed at StarHub in Singapore. StarHub’s  SVOD ‘onboarding’ centres around a seamless user experience in 4K Ultra HD.

NAGRA is also highlighting new developments in content protection with its anyCAST adaptive security concept. This addresses 4K content protection and watermarking, among other things.

“NAGRA anyCAST gives Pay TV service providers the industry’s largest and most trusted range of conditional access and digital rights management solutions,” NAGRA claims. “Using a single Security Services Platform, NAGRA anyCAST seamlessly controls an entire range of cardless, card-based, embedded and two-way connected secure clients, as well as third-party DRMs. This enables any service provider to create the perfect security solution for their network or combination of networks,” the company says.
