Paramount+ launched in Italy last week with a slate of exclusive and local content, including content from across its brands Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and SHOWTIME. After a seven day trial period, customers can subscribe for a price of € 7.99 monthly, or opt for an annual subscription costing €79.90.
The service is available on online, on mobile devices and a range of connected TV devices via distribution though Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung and others. The service will also launch on Sky platforms in Italy as part of a multi-year distribution agreement. From 23rd September, Sky subscribers with Sky Cinema will have access to Paramount+ at no additional cost, with the Paramount+ standalone app also coming to Sky Q and Sky Glass.
The offering includes Original titles such as Tulsa King, The Offer and Halo, new releases such as Top Gun: Maverick and Scream 5, and classic titles such as Grease, The Godfather and Star Trek. The service will also offer kids and family content, including reboots of classic kids shows such as iCarly, Rugrats.
Additionally, Paramount+ is launching with a slate of local content and Italian originals, with titles such as Francesco Il Cantico, Vita Da Carlo, and Ti Mangio Il Cuore. The service will also offer an Italian-dubbed version of animated series such as Beavis and Butt-Head and South Park.
