The winners of Mediatel’s Media Leaders Awards 2021 were announced this week, with James Wildman, CEO of Hearst UK and President of Hearst Europe taking the ‘Media CEO of the Year’ award, Jerry Daykin (Senior Media Director at GSK Consumer Healthcare) receiving the ‘International Media Leader of the Year’ title, and the ‘Future Media Leader of the Year’ going to Amy Butterworth, who is Media Manager at Tesco.
Sam Taylor (Head of Group Commercial Marketing at Direct Line Group) was the ‘Media Leader of the Year – Advertiser’ and Kate Rowlinson, CEO of MediaCom UK, took the ‘Media Leader of the Year – Agency’ category. The other winners were:
- Rak Patel, Head of Sales UK & Pan-EMEA, Spotify – Media Leader of the Year – Media Owner
- Dara Nasr, Managing Director, Twitter – Media Leader of the Year – Technology & New Media
- Christopher Kenna, Founder & CEO, Brand Advance and Founder, Chapter Z – Judges Special Choice Award.
