Skyworth Digital Technology has chosen NetRange – an ACCESS-owned provider of white labelled, turnkey Smart TV and OTT ecosystems and app stores – to provide content services through Skyworth RDK STBs. NetRange will provide the set-top-boxes with NetRange Smart TV Portal for RDK, which offers consumers access to local and regional entertainment, sports, news and kids VOD content.
The companies say the move will give customers access to a “one-stop-shop” of content and offers operators a highly customisable environment. Skyworth will also leverage ACCESS’s NetFront Browser BE – an Advanced HTML5 browser for TVs, STBs, game consoles and automotives – for its RDK STBs
