Ahead of IBC, UK transmission company Arqiva has secured a number of deals featuring technologies that will be on display at the show, including its new hybrid TV Internet solution, Connected Broadcaster; its Connected Operator solution; and its implementation of supplier Ideas Unlimited’s Contentprobe compliance recording system.

UK broadcast TV services provider Information TV has selected Connected Broadcaster to enhance its broadcast communications capabilities – having worked with Arqiva for the past three years to evolve its offering into a complete, end-to-end broadcast solution for its customers.

Meanwhile, Ideas Unlimited, whose TV monitoring system Contentprobe is used by Arqiva to ensure the regulatory observance and compliance of its customers, will increase the performance of the Arqiva installation so that its content recording capabilities can cover more than 150 channels. The system allows questionable content to be reviewed and segments extracted for further examination from anywhere in the world using Contentprobe’s intuitive web user interface.

Finally, Arqiva has added the Foxxum App Store to the user interface of its Hybrid TV out-of-the-box Connected Operator solution. Arqiva says the app store will offer an enhanced experience to TV viewers, and will also enable service providers to connect directly with their customers through customised applications, in order to push promotional and commercial opportunities.

All three solutions will be demonstrated at IBC, with the Information TV and Foxxum solutions featured on Arqiva’s stand (1.B61).
