Sky has launched two new ‘Ultrafast’ fibre broadband offerings in the UK, promising average download speeds of either 145 Mbps or 285 Mbps.
The service provider described Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 and Ultrafast 2 as its fastest fibre broadband, with the latter offering speeds more than 12-times that of Sky’s standard broadband.
Sky said that Ultrafast will be available in more than two million households, with availability continuing to roll out across the UK throughout 2019 and 2020.
“Fast and reliable broadband is an essential part of the family household today, and it’s only going to get more important in future” said Kathryn Imrie, Director of Broadband at Sky.
“We want our customers to be able to do even more online, on more devices, without seeing their connection lag or drop. As a Sky Broadband Ultrafast customer, you will be able to seamlessly watch an HD movie, while your partner surfs the web and your kids are gaming in their bedroom.”
