Applications outlined here include : Extracting HbbTV data from a programme stream on a non-HbbTV television, then displaying the interactivity on tablets; Using a smartphone as a remote control; Connecting TVs for voting using the tablet modem;  Extracting digital coupons from a programme stream and transferring them to a mobile for use in shops.
