The latest version of Android TV, and especially the Operator Tier version, has resulted in much higher interest in Android-based STBs among Tier-One platform operators, according to Anthony Zuyderhoff, SVP & GM, International CPE at ARRIS. He reveals that ARRIS has a Tier-One customer signed up for Android, and explains why his company is bundling professional services with hardware on Android STB projects. Separately, Anthony explains how the ARRIS HomeAssure hardware and software Wi-Fi portfolio allows operators to deliver great wireless connectivity and minimise customer care calls.
