Telekom Slovenije has onboarded a collection of high-performance console games as part of its digital TV service, ready to be played on the television set in UHD. 50 titles are currently available, thanks to a partnership with Gamestream, which provides cloud gaming solutions for B2B industries including telecoms, hospitality and healthcare.
Telekom Slovenije is using a white-labelled version of the Gamestream cloud gaming platform and has given it the consumer brand NEO Gaming. Games include Disney Infinity 3.0: Gold Edition, LEGO Star Wars III – The Clone Wars, and MotoGP 17.
Samo Ošina, B2C Director at Telekom Slovenije, says: “We are convinced that Gamestream’s cloud gaming solution will help Telekom Slovenije maintain its position as an innovation leader, and accelerate its growth in the media and entertainment segment.”
Gamestream combines high performance with an extensive video gaming catalogue that is curated for families and casual gamers. The company has rights for 300 titles from leading publishers including Disney, Capcom, Konami, Codemasters and Focus Home Interactive. The proprietary Gamestream solution is available on multiple devices from smartphones to Smart TVs.
Telekom Slovenije’s Ošina equates the games provider to other content owners it works with, stating that, “We cooperate with the best and most advanced content providers, and that is the reason we have chosen Gamestream. They have best-in-class cloud gaming technology, with experience on mobile and fixed networks based on collaboration with innovative telecom operators.”
Gamestream has also announced a partnership with Bouygues Telecom in France to launch the Gamestream owned-and-operated consumer cloud gaming brand Pleio.
